Boadicea in London
I am at Selfridges in London, proudly holding one of my creations, well the branding anyway. I created the brand Boadicea the Victorious for Michael Boadi. Besides winning multiple best new design awards, it is also famously worn by the first lady Michelle Obama, Madonna and Kate Moss to name a few. It did over a million (USD) in sales its first year in just one store. Not bad for a new brand.

Riverside Church
I was invited to this morning's service as the feat. speaker for Riverside Church's congregation of 10,000. I was humbled, blessed and honored that everyone in the building stood and applauded after my speech (better feeling then the standing O' at the film festival... even though organizers said that was the first time in their 14 year history that an opening trailer ever received such an ovation -- that was for the G4C PSA. this was far greater 'feeling', cause it wasn't commercial, it was personal). It's great to get some recognition once in a while, when you work so hard. You get so busy, sometimes you wonder if anyone takes notice...

Backstage @ Essence Festival
Essence Magazine put me up on their dime, to Direct one of my shows in conjunction with their event. I got a great producer, what can I say. I just seen Al Green perform live for the first time. One of my all-time favorite artist.

Drums Along the Hudson
My good friend Carl Nelson organizes an annual event for dance, music and culture at Inwood Park, titled Drums Along the Hudson. Laura Turner (pictured left) was being honored for her contributions to the environment. I had lunch with Laura during the event, we talked about the Captain Planet Foundation, which she now runs, started by her father, Ted Turner.

Martha Diaz
My second day at Harvard, we are given a tour of their Hip-Hop museum. Martha Diaz poses next to the book she wrote (in the glass case). The book is a classic in literature that defines the Hip-Hop culture. btw, I have spoken at two of Martha's events in the past, one being on a panel for the H2O Film Festival.

Harvard University
I was invited by the United Nations to speak at a private forum at Harvard University. Other attendees included a handful of leaders from other countries and some professors from Harvard. Professor Summers nicknamed me the "Organic Intellectual" (as theorized by Gramsci). I have a second session tomorrow morning and then I am heading back to NYC.

Mario Lazo
During my 2 month trip to South America, in Uruguay, I have been honored by the famous sculpture Mario Lazo, as he created a bust of me. He has done many historical bust, but this is the first that has an accompanying piece, with the hand pointing to my eye, signifying my media company and anthem for inspiration Keep Your "Eye On It".
